Minutes of the 47th Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association held on 9th June 2026. .

Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. .


The 47th meeting of the Association was held on 9 June 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements and resolutions were presented before the members and approved by them.

1. Welcome Address: .
The Exicutive Member, Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu, warmly welcomed all the honorary members to the 46th meeting of the Association.
Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu invited President Dr. Jayanth Kumar Garu to preside the chair and then all the Executive Committee members onto the dais.

2. Prayer Song Vande matharam : .
The 47th General Body Meeting officially commenced with the singing of the national song, 'Vande Mataram'.

3. Welcoming New Members: .
The President extended a warm welcome to the new members who joined this month: Mr. M. Mallikarjuna Swamy, Mr. K. V. N. Rao, Mr. N. Venkatesh, and Mr. Syed Riyaz Ahmed.
Among them, Mr. Syed Riyaz Ahmed, who was present at the meeting, introduced himself to the general body.

4. Condolence Message: .
The members expressed deep condolences on the demise of honorary Ex-exicutive member Late M. Chalapathi Rao Garu, who passed away on 11th of last month. All members stood in silence for two minutes and paid their respects to the departed soul.
On behalf of all Association members, the President conveyed condolences to their family members and prayed that God grant strength and courage to the family to bear the loss.

5. Birthday Wishes – June: .
Members celebrating birthdays in June were felicitated with shawls and greeted:

6. The Financial Report: .
The Financial Secretary / Treasurer, Mr. Venu Mohana Rao Garu, presented the financial report. He stated that there is a current budget surplus of approximately ₹40,000.00. However, since there are 7 months remaining in the financial period, routine monthly recurring expenses (such as electricity, TV subscription, and newspapers), the upcoming 2026 Independence Day celebrations, as well as any unforeseen emergency expenditures must be managed entirely out of this ₹40,000.00 surplus.
The President highlighted the critical need for highly careful and prudent spending moving forward.

7. Retrospection & Review : .
A retrospective review of the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations held on June 2, 2026 was conducted. Small administrative lapses and operational shortcomings were identified and thoroughly reviewed to ensure that such mistakes are not repeated in future events.
The members unanimously agreed that, overall it was an excellent program.

8. President Address: .
The President expressed heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Senior Citizen delegation team that recently visited and inquired about the well-being of ailing members, including Dr. Manik Prabhu, Mr. Kasula Bucchi Reddy, Mr. Krishna Murthy, and Mr. Madhusudhan Rao.
President thanked all the members for making Telangana formation day a grand success.
He further added that the association currently commands immense respect, prestige, and goodwill among the municipal corporation, political circles, government officials, and the colony residents.
The President earnestly requested every member to put in continuous efforts to uphold and further enhance this hard-earned reputation through exemplary behaviour, speech, and collective actions.

9. Doctors’ Advice: .
As part of the health awareness initiative, Dr. Shruti from the 'Research Ayu' organization delivered an informative session. She shared detailed clinical advice, preventative measures, dietary guidelines, and specific physical exercises to manage and alleviate spine and knee pain issues.

10. Conclusion & Vote of Thanks: .
The meeting was cocluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Pandurangaiah Garu Joint Secretary of the Association.
